Merchandiser (METRO Sourcing Turkey Office)

We search for suppliers worldwide, certify factories and their products, monitor production and organise the final inspection of the products.

• Lead sourcing, product development, and price negotiations within designated categories (Electrical Appliances, Bathroom & Home Care, Disposables(Near Food))
• Support product range planning and assortment development
• Collaborate closely with suppliers and internal teams to manage quality, costing, production, and delivery
• Actively engage with customers to understand needs and expectations
• Conduct market trend analysis and export share evaluations
• Organize and lead sourcing and buying trips

• University degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related fields
• 4+ years of relevant merchandising experience (preferably in EU markets)
• Product knowledge in Electrical Appliances is a strong plus
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Excellent in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Proven negotiation and problem-solving capabilities
• High sense of ownership, independence, and drive
• Customer-focused, collaborative, and enthusiastic team player
• Open to domestic and international travel as needed
